Ayurveda 101 for Yogis: Ayurvedic Theory, Self-Care Tools, and Vata-Balancing Yoga
The secret to enriching your day with more energy, clarity, and motivation is Ayurveda, the 5,000-year-old Indian system of healing and sister science to yoga. Experience these time-tested tools in a daylong Ayurvedic retreat with  Larissa Hall Carlson, faculty of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda and yoga teacher.

In the afternoon, you’ll dive into a juicy Ayurvedic yoga journey to relax the body, soothe nerves, and restore tranquility to the mind. Harmonize vata dosha in time for Autumn with a full-body asana sequence, pranayama, and mindfulness meditation. Infinite Practices, Few Basic Principles: How Seasoned Teachers Build Meaningful Yoga Classes That Hook Their Students
Limited Capacity seats available

With so much information available to teachers, it can seem overwhelming to create meaningful classes that feel like your own. You don’t have to rely solely on the formulas you learned in teacher training to get out of that teaching rut. Join The Art of Teaching Yoga mentors, Alexandria Crow, Coral Brown, and Giselle Mari, for a full-day workshop for teachers that will demystify the process of creating classes that are effective and inspiring for you and your students.

By leading three 30-minute practices leading to one pose, Alex, Coral, and Giselle will show you that their different teaching styles have similar and basic common principles. Through in-depth group discussions and workshopping your questions throughout the day, you’ll discover how to apply these principles to design solid sequences, understand how to offer verbal cues and hands-on assists, handle injury prevention and management, and integrate philosophy more fully. Don’t miss this opportunity to simplify and unpack the process of developing your unique teaching style and creating balanced classes that keep students coming back to learn more.

Would you like to be that old lady or old man with the twinkle in their eye when you reach old age? This is a chance to start a rich, energizing, and therapeutic practice that is sustainable and will last a lifetime. This intensive will take you on a journey through essential movement and flow while still gaining mobility and strength in the larger muscle groups. In addition to learning how to keep yourself intrinsically strong and safe, you will discover Amy’s secrets to building a yoga practice and lifestyle that lasts; including how to work with injuries, asymmetries in the body, and how to handle life setbacks & curveballs with grace. Yoga for Inner Peace
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

What happens when women get together? Something immeasurably powerful and transformative can come from the support of other women. We set down our barriers and dwell in our commonalities, compassion, and understanding. Even though this is only a half of day, the goal is to leave you feeling like you have just been on a weeklong women’s retreat. In her 20 years of teaching women’s retreats, Saidman Yee has come to understand that a lot of times we are struggling with similar issues and thinking that we are alone. Emotional needs of a woman are different from those of a man. We will target common areas where tension, trauma, and secrets can be buried with the intension of unleashing joy. We will use asana, pranayama, meditation, journaling and dialogue to dig into areas that keep us stuck. Why and where are we stuck? What are we afraid of? Are we living our potential? Are we using our voices to speak our truth? Do we understand our importance and validity? We will experiment with practices that address issues such as forgiveness and confidence. We will explore different tools that unlock bindings in the body, breath, and brain that keep you from realizing that you are enough.

Injury Prevention and Recovery
Limited Capacity seats available

Getting injured is an inevitable part of life and if we're wise, we can learn some of the most valuable lessons from our injuries. As a yoga practitioner our aim is to injure ourselves and others as little as possible in everything we do including asana. To do this we must learn and teach the difference between beneficial discomfort and injurious pain. The injurious pain signal is one that requires an immediate change in approach and is a call to attention that something is about to go very wrong, but even when we're incredibly diligent sometimes we still make errors in judgment and get injured. When an injury occurs the road back to health can be a scary and frustrating one but it doesn't have to be. In this workshop, we'll explore how to prevent injuries from happening by understanding the range of motion joints have and how to ask our students not to move past the limits of their physical structure. We'll then further this and look at how to approach healing once an injury has occurred both physically and most importantly how to handle the mind's thoughts about injury and the recovery process.

Yin Yoga: with Live Sacred Music
Limited Capacity seats available

Yin Yoga, the journey inwards, is a somewhat simple practice: Pause, breathe, notice, feel. But bringing yourself into this state of stillness and simplicity can be a challenge—with powerful benefits. Join this practice to slowly relax your muscles and allow deeper tissues that wrap muscles and make up our joint capsules to be safely and therapeutically stretched, stimulated, and strengthened. First, a discussion will cover theory, basic anatomy, and the difference between Yin and vinyasa yoga. Then you’ll experience all eight limbs of yoga through an asana practice with long holds, slow transitions, and deep work. Lecture and asana.

Fall in Love with Your Body with oneOeight Guide Karen Samuels, Ph.D.
This workshop will offer ways to practice self-love and expand positive connections to your body. Yoga’s potential to heal numerous health conditions is recognized. We will deepen awareness of the brain-body-heart connections. Many yoga students struggle with body image, eating disorders and how to “fall in love with” their most challenging parts. As one woman in her mid-50’s described: “I suffered with a terrible eating disorder in my 20’s and 30’s and always hated my body. I don’t know where I would be today if I hadn’t found yoga. It brought the final healing connection, to make peace in my skin!”
